It's not long till the Holiday Catalogue will be with us. If you haven't received a copy yet please let me know and I'll send one out.
I was inspired by a card Tina Rappe shared on one of the groups I belong to that I had to have a go and recreate myself. It looks like there is a scalloped mat around the image but it's actually a 'window'. The hole is cut out of the card base and the card front allowing you to see the stamped image on the inside - how cool is that. My card ladies enjoyed making this and they had two options of sentiments.
The stamp set we used is Floral Phrases and comes as a bundle with the coordinating Detailed Floral Thinlits which we also used to create the intricate pattern on the left of the image.
This also works well for a birthday card - this one was for my sister-in-law who celebrated her birthday last week.
The second card we made was for Father's Day which is only a couple of weeks away for those of us in the South Pacific.
I CASED this card from Sara Sayers - I love the bold colours of Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Dapper Denim. This design could also be used for a birthday card.
Check back tomorrow for another version of the Swirly Bird card I made for a 10 year boy.
